The topic is related to urban problems and therefore deals with the urbanization process which was first started by rural migration in the 1960 ‘s and later the related economic development .in fact ,this economic development had an impact on the built environment and in general on all major cities and therir extension such as in el khroub , Constantine .
Analyzing the impact of political decisions taken at national level , the effects of such centralized decisions are shown specifically in the context of the new development of el khroub. In the study of el khroub two main types of development are identified ,one symbolizing the actions of inhabitants the other symobolising housing as va product of the institutionalized machinery .
In conclusion a number of ideas are given which might help the reorganizing of the design and built processes with an emphasis on the architect ‘s role and his commitment with the local population.
