Dr. DJABEUR Abderezak, Dean of the FSNV, USTO-MB, Dr. KRALAFA Djamel, Plant Ecology FSNV, USTO-MB, Mrs. MAZOUZ Oum Kaltoum, Head of the Environment at the USTO-MB, SOUFI Réda, Sonatrach Representative, BENGUEMERI Habib Alla, Sonatrach LQS Representative, BELKACEM, Service Provider, SABRI Saïd, Company Landscaper and SABEUR Abderrazak.

We talked about planting trees to reduce greenhouse gases, fixing CO2 and the type of trees to plant. Favour varieties that do not require a lot of water, with an annual watering contract. It goes without saying that a soil survey should be carried out beforehand. As part of the development of the forest, there was also talk of opening up tracks. It was also recommended that liming should be carried out once a year to protect the trees, and that watering troughs should be created.

The delegation then visited the nursery, zone 03 of the forest (park side) and zone 01 of the forest (FSNV side).

A working session will be held on Thursday 19 September 2024 in the presence of the Forest Conservator. The aim will be to summarise the work carried out to date and to draw up an action plan for the work that remains to be done following the marking and felling of trees contaminated by the bark beetle. With regard to the marking of tracks inside the forest, it has been noted that some pruning remains to be done.
