The Vice-Deanship


The Vice-Deanship works to assist the Dean in the performance of his/her duties, under the direct supervision of the Vice-Dean and his/her departments. Affiliated with the faculty, the Vice-Deanship provides administrative and academic services to undergraduate students (Bachelor’s, Master’s), postgraduate students (Doctorate), as well as to researchers, through the Vice-Dean and the administrative departments under his/her authority.


1. Vice-Dean in Charge of Studies and Student Affairs

Mrs. ABDI Meriem

Duties of the Vice-Dean in Charge of Studies and Student Affairs:
In accordance with Ministerial Decree of 08 Rajab 1425, corresponding to August 24, 2004, which defines the administrative organization of the university administration, faculty, institute, university annex, and common services (Article 22):

  • Ensure the management and monitoring of undergraduate student registrations.
  • Monitor the conduct of teaching activities and take or propose to the Dean any measures aimed at improving them.
  • Maintain nominal and statistical records of students.
  • Collect, process, and disseminate academic information for the benefit of students.

2. Vice-Dean in Charge of Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and External Relations

Mr. KHERRAZ ALI

Duties of the Vice-Dean in Charge of Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and External Relations:
In accordance with Ministerial Decree of 08 Rajab 1425, corresponding to August 24, 2004, which defines the administrative organization of the university administration, faculty, institute, university annex, and common services (Article 23):

  • Monitor the conduct of entrance examinations for postgraduate studies.
  • Take or propose the necessary measures to ensure the proper conduct of postgraduate training programs.
  • Ensure the proper organization of postgraduate dissertation and thesis defenses.
  • Monitor the progress of scientific research activities.
  • Initiate partnership actions with socio-economic sectors.
  • Initiate actions to promote and strengthen national and international inter-university cooperation.
  • Implement professional development and refresher training programs for teaching staff.
  • Monitor the functioning of the Faculty Scientific Council and maintain its archives.
