Parmi eux, nous pouvons citer entre autres l&rsquo;endommagement de pi\u00e8ces ou de structures sous sollicitation cycliques sous chargement m\u00e9canique, thermique ou thermom\u00e9canique. Souvent, cela donne lieu \u00e0 des amorces de fissures qui peuvent se propager et provoquer des ruptures en cours de fonctionnement. Nous pouvons citer les cas de fuite et de rupture survenu dans des pipes et appareils sous pression, les aubes de turbine, la fatigue contact de pi\u00e8ces et m\u00e9canismes. En effet, pour les structures assembl\u00e9es par soudage, la nature du mat\u00e9riau de base et d&rsquo;apport doivent ob\u00e9ir aux sp\u00e9cifications des normes, les formes et les sections doivent \u00e9volu\u00e9e de fa\u00e7on progressive pour \u00e9viter les concentrations de contraintes \u00e9lev\u00e9es et les contraintes r\u00e9siduelles doivent n\u00e9cessairement \u00eatre prises en compte avec celles de service pour le dimensionnement. En plus, il peut y avoir l&rsquo;interaction avec le milieu accentuant ainsi la d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration des pi\u00e8ces et structures. Notre contribution concerne l&rsquo;\u00e9tude des fissures dans les structures m\u00e9talliques sous sollicitation m\u00e9canique et thermom\u00e9canique. Dans nos travaux pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, nous avons mis en exergue l&rsquo;effet du \u00ab\u00a0mismatch\u00a0\u00bb ou la d\u00e9sadaptation m\u00e9canique en pr\u00e9sence de deux mat\u00e9riaux diff\u00e9rents pr\u00e9sentant des entailles ou des fissures au voisinage et \u00e0 l&rsquo;interface des mat\u00e9riaux. Nous avons aussi tenu compte de la nature du sol pour les structures (poutre \u00e9tudi\u00e9e) fissur\u00e9es afin d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer l&rsquo;interaction sol-structure fissur\u00e9e qui peut \u00eatre aussi un pipe sous pression par exemple. Par ailleurs, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe travaille sur un autre probl\u00e8me qui a toute son importance en m\u00e9canique et qui est le contact. Les \u00e9tudes sur les m\u00e9canismes de contact secs glissants soumis \u00e0 de multiples ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes tels que l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9vation de temp\u00e9rature, l&rsquo;usure les d\u00e9formations thermom\u00e9caniques et la formation d&rsquo;\u00e9ventuelles fissures ont d\u00e9but\u00e9s. L&rsquo;objectif \u00e9tant de comprendre \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;un m\u00e9canisme choisi, le comportement thermom\u00e9canique sous sollicitations cycliques s\u00e9v\u00e8res.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Dans l&rsquo;industrie, il existe une multitude d&rsquo;applications qui font appel aux m\u00e9canismes avec contacts secs glissants. Ces m\u00e9canismes sont souvent soumis \u00e0 de multiples ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes tels que l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9vation de la temp\u00e9rature, l&rsquo;usure des pi\u00e8ces, les d\u00e9formations thermom\u00e9caniques, la formation d&rsquo;\u00e9ventuelle fissures. Nous avons consid\u00e9r\u00e9 un exemple de m\u00e9canisme connu par tous les m\u00e9caniciens \u00e0 savoir les disques ou tambours de frein soumis \u00e0 des sollicitations thermom\u00e9caniques cycliques s\u00e9v\u00e8res. Les conditions de service engendrent des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes de fatigue thermique. En effet, la principale sollicitation provient des fortes variations de temp\u00e9rature induites par le frottement des plaquettes contre le disque. La temp\u00e9rature peut grimper de 20\u00b0C \u00e0 plus de 700\u00b0C en quelques secondes. De ce fait, les syst\u00e8mes de freinage ou d&#8217;embrayage sont les lieux de tr\u00e8s forts gradients thermiques dans le sens de l&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur du disque ou du tambour, mais aussi dans la direction circonf\u00e9rentielle. Ces gradients sont dus au flux de chaleur entrant dans le disque ou tambour, localis\u00e9 sous les garnitures. Des points chauds apparaissent sous forme de zones circulaires r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement espac\u00e9es sur les surfaces de contact. Les cycles thermiques produisent des d\u00e9formations an\u00e9lastiques.
