Civil Engineering Educational Trip

Sixteenth Educational Trip 2025–2026: Visit to the BTPH (GSH) Concrete Batching Plant

As part of the educational activities program for the 2025–2026 academic year, a sixteenth field trip was organized on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, for the benefit of students from the Department of Civil Engineering at USTO-MB. This visit was part of the continuity of previous field trips and aimed to enrich the students’ practical experience. On this occasion, the Concrete Batching Plant at the Saint-Rémy site of the BTPH (GSH) company welcomed the students of the Civil Engineering Department to its facilities.

During this field session, the students were able to directly observe the practical application of the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout their academic training. They followed the entire concrete production process, from material proportioning to placement, thereby strengthening their understanding of quality requirements, technical standards, and the professional responsibilities inherent to the role of a civil engineer.

The Department of Civil Engineering at USTO-MB would like to express its sincere gratitude to the management and staff of the Saint-Rémy Concrete Batching Plant of BTPH (GSH), particularly Mr. BENMAMMAR, Quality Control Manager, Mr. KHELIF, HSE Manager, and Mr. BENGARAA, Production Manager, for their warm welcome, availability, and the high quality of explanations provided throughout the visit.

The Department also extends its appreciation to the accompanying instructor, Mr. BELMOKADDEM, for his commitment and valuable contribution to the educational supervision and practical training of the students.

Fifteenth Educational Field Trip to the Ez-Zouhour Construction Site

Hosted by PLAZA Immobilier, the students were able to observe the progress of construction works at the Ez-Zouhour project, particularly the preparation of the vertical structural elements of the final level of Phase 1. They also followed the progress of the various construction trades already underway in the different phases of the project, including masonry works, plumbing, electrical installations, waterproofing, air conditioning, as well as floor and wall finishes.

The visit also enabled the students to observe the installation of material hoists on the different blocks, as well as the preparation of the formwork in anticipation of the casting of the final raft foundation of the project.

The Department of Civil Engineering at USTO-MB wishes to express its profound gratitude to the management and staff of PLAZA Immobilier, ZIEC Construction Company, and the engineering consultancy BET G-A MANSOURI, particularly Mr. AISSANI Fouad and Mr. ACHOUR Abdallah, for their warm welcome, availability, and the valuable guidance provided to the students. The Department also extends its sincere thanks to the accompanying instructors, Mr. SIFODIL and Mr. SEBBAGH, for their commitment and supervision throughout this enriching educational visit.
