Presentation of the Faculty

Established by Interministerial Decree No. 2687 of August 3, 1998, setting the organization of the faculty within the university, and Interministerial Decree No. 2688 of August 3, 1999 concerning the classification of senior positions within the faculty at the university, the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering is one of the seven faculties that make up the University of Science and Technology of Oran “Mohammed Boudiaf” (USTO-MB), which includes three departments:

  • Department of Architecture
  • Department of Civil Engineering
  • Department of Hydraulics

Administrative Organization of the Faculty

In accordance with the provisions of Article 25 of Executive Decree 98-253 of August 17, 1998, the administrative organization of the faculty is as follows:

  • The Dean
  • The Vice Dean in charge of academic affairs (pedagogy)
  • The Vice Dean in charge of postgraduate studies
  • The General Secretary of the Administration

Training Programs

As part of the restructuring of the university education system, the faculty introduced the new Bachelor–Master–Doctorate (LMD) system in September 2004. The main feature of this reform is an academic structure organized into three levels:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Licence): 3 years (6 semesters)
  • Master’s degree: 2 years (4 semesters)
  • Doctorate (third cycle): 3 years

Organisation Administrative de la Faculté

 En application des dispositions de l’article 25 du décret exécutif 98-253 du 17 août 1998, l’organisation administrative de la faculté se présente comme suit :

        *Le Doyen.

        *Le Vice Doyen chargé de la pédagogie

         *Le Vice Doyen chargé de la post-graduation,

         *Secrétaire Général de l’Administration.

La Formation

            Dans le cadre de la refonte du système de l’enseignement universitaire, la faculté a entamé le nouveau cycle de formation Licence-Master-Doctorat (LMD) en Septembre 2004.La principale particularité de la réforme est une architecture des études en trois paliers:

Licence en 3 ans :            6 Semestres

Masteren en 2 ans   :            4 Semestres

Doctorat 3éme Cycle :     3 ans
