Today, Monday, September 4th, 2023, the University’s Board of Directors meeting was held, chaired by Professor HAMOU Ahmed, the Rector of USTO-MB. In attendance were the Vice-Rectors, the Secretary-General, the Deans of the faculties of Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, and the Directors of the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technologies, Physical Education and Sports, the Intensive Language Teaching Center, the Support Cell for Newly Recruited Teachers, and the Communication and Information Cell.

The agenda included:

1. Review of the academic year 2022/23 and prospects for 2023/24.
2. Discussion on ministerial guidelines, particularly extending the university’s opening hours until 10:00 PM.
3. Transition to English-language instruction.
4. Planning English language training for our teaching staff to prepare for the academic year 2023/2024.
5. Preliminary schedule of pedagogical activities for the 2023/24 academic year.
6. Assignment of 130 newly recruited Assistant Professors B and the program for the preparatory year.
7. Miscellaneous items.

This meeting will undoubtedly prepare for the video conference meeting with the Minister, scheduled for this afternoon, focusing on the 2023/2024 university opening.
