I take great pleasure in announcing that CommitteeNational Congress on Metallic Complexes and their various Applicationswill host the 1^stNational Congress on Metallic Complexes and their various Applications (NCMCA 2026) which will be held in the prestigious city of Oran (Algeria) on September 20 to 21, 2026. This event will aim to serve at platform for exchange and collaboration between researchers, teacher-researchers, doctoral students, engineers and other experts in chemistry, on a national scale, on Coordination Chemistry and that of Metal Complexes and their innovative Applications in fields as diverse as catalysis in organic chemistry, detection and quantification of ions in chemical analysis, therapeutics and diagnosis in medicine, storage of information in nanotechnologies and nanosciences, extraction and recovery of metals in environmental chemistry, etc.

The 1^st National Congress on Metal Complexes and their various Applications (NCMCA 2026) will be held on September 20 to 21, 2026, Oran.

The NCMCA 2026 Congress serves as premier forum for presenting the latest advances and research findings in metallic complexes materials and their applications in medicine and industry.

Conference Objectives

The first National Congress entitled “Metal Complexes and their various Applications” is motivated by the importance of metal complexes and the crucial role they play in the chemical industry and living organisms. Their unique properties make them indispensable in a wide range of applications, from industrial catalysis and organic synthesis to medical imaging, medicine and pharmacology, materials science and energy storage. The 1st NCMCA 2026 will serve as a platform for exchange and collaboration between researchers, teacher-researchers, doctoral students, engineers and other experts in chemistry, at the national level, on Coordination Chemistry and Metal Complexes and their Applications in all of these major and innovative fields.

Topic I: Environmental Applications :
I-1Removal of various metallic pollutants using different extraction techniques.
I-2Analysis and detection of trace metal contaminants in various industrial matrices.
I-3Chemical and electrochemical sensors for metallic pollutants.
Topic II:Catalysis

II-1 Development of catalysts based on metal complexes and use in chemical reaction engineering.

Topic III: Medicinal Chemistry:

III-1 Development of therapeutic agents based on metallic complexes (synthesis and use of metallic complexes and chelating ligands as anticancer, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant agents, etc.)

III-2 Development of contrast agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (preparation and study of the diagnostic properties of Gd(III) chelates and other paramagnetic metals used as contrast agents to amplify the signal and improve the contrast of MRI images)

Topic IV: Electrochemistry and Energy:

IV-1 Metallic complexes and energy storage (lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), redox batteries, etc.)

Abstracts submitted to the NCMCA 2026 Congress are examined by the scientific committee.
