Erasmus+ KA171 mobility in partnership with Sapienza University of Rome (Italy)

Academic Year 2026–2027 – Second Semester

Mobility opportunities

    • Bachelor’s students
      • Master’s students
      • PhD students
      • Teaching staff
      • Total number of mobilities available for the whole Algerian partnership: 8 for students and 4 for teaching staff.
      ⚠️ Final selection is carried out by Sapienza University of Rome. Nomination by USTO-MB does not guarantee the award of an Erasmus+ grant.
  • Second semester of Academic Year 2026–2027
    • From February 2027 to July 2027
    • The exact mobility dates must be agreed with the receiving Faculty/academic supervisor.

Eligibility conditions

  • Students must be regularly enrolled at USTO-MB during Academic Year 2026–2027.
    • Teaching staff must be employed at USTO-MB.
    • Candidates must select a study, research or teaching program eligible with their academic background and the Sapienza academic offer.
    • Students attending Italian-taught courses must have at least B2 Italian.
    • Students attending English-taught courses must have at least B2 English.
    • Priority may be given to candidates who have not recently benefited from Erasmus+ mobility.

Duration of mobility

  • Students: 6 months.
  • Teaching staff: 5 working days.

Documents to be submitted – Bachelor’s and Master’s students

  • Valid passport (preferably valid for at least one year)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Motivation letter
    • Transcript of Records
    • Learning Agreement with the detailed list of courses selected from Sapienza’s academic offer, or description of the research topic
    • Acceptance letter from a Sapienza Professor if undertaking research for a final thesis/project
    • Proof of the required language level (B2)

Documents to be submitted – PhD students

  • Valid passport (preferably valid for at least one year)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Motivation letter and detailed research proposal
    • List of publications
    • Letter of endorsement from an academic staff member
    • Acceptance letter from a Sapienza Professor who will act as supervisor

Documents to be submitted – Teaching staff

  • Valid passport (preferably valid for at least one year)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Teaching Agreement
    • Motivation letter
    • List of publications
    • Invitation letter signed by a Sapienza Professor
    • Proof of language proficiency, where applicable

Sapienza academic offer

Erasmus+ incoming students may apply for programs offered by Sapienza in Italian and English.

No paper applications will be accepted.

After the USTO-MB selection, nominated candidates will be registered in Sapienza’s Erasmus+ ICM Database. Sapienza will then send nominated candidates the instructions and login details for its online application system.

Calendar

  • Launch of the USTO-MB call: 5 September 2026
    • Internal USTO-MB application deadline: 3 October 2026 at 12:00 (noon)
    • Final selection by Sapienza: December 2026
    • Mobility period: approximately February 2027 – July 2027
